Yerevan, Armenia — Global ARM, a U.S.-based nonprofit committed to supporting Armenia and the Armenian people, demands the immediate release of two Armenian minors detained today by Azerbaijani military forces.
It has been reported that two Armenian teenage civilians, aged 17 years old from the Syunik region of Southern Armenia, were captured by Azerbaijani forces earlier this morning. Independent organizations, including the Center for Truth and Justice, are currently on the ground gathering witness testimony and verifying facts.
“We demand Ilham Aliyev immediately release these civilian Armenian teenagers,” said Global ARM President Timothy Jemal. “As the U.S., Armenia, and international partners strive for a just and lasting peace, Aliyev remains obstinate—defiantly rejecting peace and an end to aggression—continuously escalating tensions through provocative and hostile actions. These teenage boys must be freed now.”
Global ARM will continue monitoring this situation closely.
